What is Speed Dating?

When you arrive at a Speed Dating event you will be checked in and given a personalised badge with a number on it.

Once the evening starts, people with badge number one will sit at table one, badge number two will sit at table two and so on. You will have the opportunity to speak to the other person for around 3-4 minutes, then they usually ring a bell and then you move on to the next table along. Usually women stay where they are and the men swap tables.

This usually gives you enough time to establish whether you like that person enough to want to see them again – and if you do, the speed dating company will pass them your details.
